Year 6 Visit Montacute House

22nd March 2016

On Tuesday 22nd March, year 6 visited Montacute house which offered the children a fantastic opportunity to develop an understanding of the lives of Tudors- both rich and poor. Pupils visited various rooms comparing the differences of then to now, particularly looking at the long hall gallery, which allowed them to get up close to some of the portraits that they have been studying in class. Furthermore we were able to roam the gardens and took the opportunity to have a go at sketching the magnificent house.
