Shakespeare

Children from the Shakespeare Club performed Hamlet to an audience of friends and family at the Tobacco Factory in Bristol on Tuesday 1st February. The children put on a wonderful performance having spent many weeks learning the lines and rehearsing with Mr Farrell, Miss Leach and Miss Dennis. The cast were excellent and were full of energy and enthusiasm. They all had a good understanding of the story and were able to remember the famous Shakespearean lines in front of the audience. They spent the afternoon working with several members of the Shakespeare for Schools Project, who are themselves professional directors and actors, and in the evening, they were able to use the Tobacco Factory lighting technician to use the amazing lighting effects. The children's behaviour throughout the whole day was impeccable and we hope that they will remember this night for a long time. Well done to everyone who was involved!
