Waycroft has been awarded the prestigious NACE Challenge Award. NACE is the National Association for Able Children in Education, their representatives visited the school on the 20th January 2014. They observed lessons, spoke to staff, governors, pupils and parents and scrutinised work. The NACE Challenge Award Framework can be used by ALL schools, including Academies, 6th Form and FE colleges. It provides a quality standard by which to undertake a robust and evaluation of provision informing well-focused action planning for continuous whole school improvement. As a result the education planned for all pupils becomes even better. Waycroft is the 300th school nationally to gain this award.
Challenge Partners Review
Every Spring Waycroft MAT schools are reviewed by Challenge Partners. Challenge Partners is an association which enables senior staff to be trained in the school review process. They then visit schools all over the country to work alongside a registered OFSTED inspector to carry out reviews. This is excellent experience for school staff and also good for the school to have a high quality review of its own practice. The reports recognise that Waycroft Academy is still operating at an outstanding level regarding the learning and teaching as well as the levels of achievement. We are all proud of our amazing pupils and the good work done by the whole Waycroft community.
