General Year 4 Information
Year 4 have P.E. lessons on a Tuesday and Thursday, therefore pupils can wear their P.E. kits to school on those days.
English and mathematics homework is set each week. It is set on a Wednesday and must be handed in on the following Monday. Extension activities are available where appropriate. Children are expected to read at least 3 times per week but ideally daily and to practise their times tables as often as possible. Spellings are given out on a Monday and tested the following Monday. Topic and research homework will be set as an alternative occasionally.
How can I help my child at home?
Listening to your child read at home as often as possible continues to be essential to their progress. Children can borrow books from the class library or from the school library. Please continue to practise spellings and times tables on a weekly basis.
