WELCOME TO YEAR 6

General Year 6 Information

P.E.
Year 6 have P.E. lessons on a Tuesday and Thursday, therefore pupils will need to bring their P.E. kits to school on those days.

Homework
Homework will be set on a Tuesday and is expected in on a Monday. Children are expected to read at least 3 times per week but ideally daily, with the emphasis on reading for pleasure. Times tables should be practised as often as possible. Spelling will be included within the English homework. Topic and research homework will be set as an alternative occasionally. The children can also practise their times tables using Times Tables Rock Stars.

How can I help my child at home?
Listening to your child read at home as often as possible continues to be essential to their progress. Children can borrow books from the class library or from the school library. Please continue to practise spellings and times tables on a weekly basis.
